The Fabulous Stains is not only a style/inspiration blog, but it's also a vintage clothing store filled with all things 80s, 90s, grunge, goth, punk, hippie and even some DIY pieces. The Fabulous Stains is run by a super crew of fabulous gals from all around the world, including Jessi Jae Joplin (Hollywood, CA), Bebe Zeva (Las Vegas, NV), Lucia Ribisi (Los Angeles, CA), Chelsea Rea (Vancouver, British Columbia), Norelle Rheingold (Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany), Misha McKagan (Prague, Czech Republic), Laura Cherrygrove (Berlin, Germany) and Violetta Ell.
Jessi – Jessi Jae Joplin is a fashion journalist, lead
singer of the pop rock band The
Ruckus, and co-creator of the The Fabulous Stains.
She currently serves as a featured editor for BUZZNET
and contributes to the Lazy Bones Vintage blog (by Audrey Kitching). Jessi also has experience working alongside the fashion designers of Heatherette, in the Fashion Editorial Department of Jane Magazine and for the style editors of E! Online. She created The Fabulous Stains with her best friend
Bebe Zeva due to their
significant common interest and slight obsessions with
over-accessorizing, Kelly Bundy, Desperately Seeking Susan, Ghost World,
David Bowie, Lisa Frank, glitter, candy, photo booths, Clarissa
Explains It All, John Waters, WΔS†ED YOU†HS and pizza...in hopes of sharing those interests with the world!
Bebe – Bebe Zeva is a model, essayist, fashion blogger and writer based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She has been profiled by New York Times, Seventeen Magazine
and Teen Vogue. She modeled
for the brand I Am Carles associated
with the Hipster Runoff blog. She is
a regular contributor to the online journal Thought
Catalog as well as StyleCaster
and Technorazzi. A feature-length
documentary about Zeva was released by MDMAfilms on March 20, 2011...and it's dope!
Lucia – You might recognize Lucia Ribisi from the WeetzieBat inspired shoot for Paper Magazine
or heard her singing in songs for Beck and Sia...she's also daughter of actor Giovanni Ribisi –
and after watching this StyleLikeU video
it's easy to conclude that she is probably cooler than anyone we know! Her style is
an eclectic mix of vintage finds and textbook teen items like beat up purple
converse and multiple bangles on each arm. A musician, artist and a member of
the Riot Grrrl Scouts, it
seems like Lucia can only get more awesome.
Chelsea
– Chelsea Rea is a model and blogger from Vancouver, B.C., Canada
who describes herself as a thrift store junkie (she collects vintage stuffed
animals/toys/games), pizza addict and future crazy cat lady (her awesome cats Pickle and Iggy are like her children). Her biggest
inspirations are girls in bands (Be Your Own Pet, Bratmobile, The Muffs, The
Velvet Underground). If she could befriend any
famous person it would be Joan Jett and she dreams of one day going to
Disneyland. She isn't sure what the future holds, but for now
she's excited and busy getting ready for Halloween.
Violet –Violetta Ell is an amazing 23 year old blogger and photographer.
Her fashion and style are truly inspiring. She spends most of her time
thrifting at secondhand shops and also designs and alters her own clothing. Her favorite
color is maroon, favorite shoes are a pair of Dr. Martens 1460
black boots, and favorite book is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by
Hunter S. Thompson. Violetta is always searching
for new inspiration, but she currently is mostly inspired by 80's and 90's
movies.
Norelle – Norelle Rheingold hails from
Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany (a beautiful city in the Black Forest next to
Switzerland and France). She is a fashion blogger, photographer,
musician, passionate artist and performer. In addition, she creates images for
tattoos, album covers and posters. Fashion is her passion; she loves it and she
dreams of becoming an immortal fashion designer. Her blog is currently filled with vintage pieces, second hand
clothes and her own creations! Norelle’s inspirations mostly come from movies
and music videos from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. She also gets a lot of
inspiration from art, photographs, series, comics and japanese street fashion.
So cool!
Misha – There’s no
doubt you will be highly drawn to Misha McKagan due to her significant interest in cool things like Daria, Joan Jett and movies from the
80s! She describes herself as a poor student, living in Prague, Czech Republic, who is influenced by the 80s and
early 90s fashion with elements of rock and roll (her favorite band is Guns N'
Roses). In the
future, she plans to travel around the USA and become a psychologist…but for
now, Misha serves as a modern day Kelly Bundy...and simply
one of the coolest girls you will ever meet!
Laura – Laura
Cherrygrove is a tattoo artist from Berlin, Germany. She has
tattoo’d so many amazing people who basically run Berlin (like Peaches
and Nadja Sayej)! She also does a project called Chlorophorm TV
with her best friend, is a member of an all girl band called The Bleached
Mermaids, and even did a fashion spread with Bonnie Strange! She really is a modern day Club Kid and defines her personal style like it
was 1986 and she was a Mötley Crüe groupie and in a 90s kinderwhore band at the
same time (lace, leather, garters, tattoos and platform stilettos)! She is
inspired by the 80s, fabulous fashion spreads, and people
who rock amazing hair colors. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she responded: “I'll live fast and die young…”

The Crazy White Bitches are a 3-piece Girl Power Cult living in the most beautiful city in the world, Cape Town, South Africa, where they travel all over hunting for vintage and
second-hand treasures. They love anything Mickey Mouse, cheesy, denim, animal-print, super 90’s, skimpy,
floral, and fun. They are inspired by the nostalgia of growing
up in the 90’s but not being too coherent for most of it, the plastic dreams
and alien craze of the 2000’s, hot, dead celebrities, taking nothing seriously, the internet, people
who get fashion right, people who don’t take fashion seriously, hip-hop, Justin
Bieber, huge shoes and crazy hair. All they want is for the world to dress better, and therefore be a happier place.
